WELCOME TO ROOM 119!

Dear First Grade Families,

My name is Laura Doran and I am excited for another exciting school year to begin and I hope you are too.  This is my classroom blog and a main form of communication for my classroom.  If you would like to sign up to get these communications via email, please look to the right side of the blog and follow the directions.

Now that you know I am your teacher, you may be wondering who else you will see in Room 119!  Below is a list of names (last initial only) of students in Room 119.

I think I have only worked with one family on our list before so I look forward to getting to know you and working with you this school year.  To learn more about me, click on "Meet Mrs. Doran" at the top of this blog.  Please let me know if you have any questions.  I respond to all emails (Monday-Friday) within 24 hours so if you do not hear from me, please try again.

Please note that there will be a Welcome Back Social on September 2nd from 2:00-4:00 where you can stop in, meet me and drop off supplies (if you ordered a box last spring, I have it). I look forward to meeting you.  If your child goes by a different name (for example, my Alicia goes by Ali.. etc), please email me as soon as possible so I can make sure your child's name is the way you'd like to see it in our classroom.

Are you ready? Supplies and more!

Time flies when you're having fun and I hope you have been having a lot of fun!

I've been busy with family, friends, my new puppy and of course SCHOOL STUFF!

I'm very excited to start a new year and of course my pocket book is showing it.

If you didn't order the school supply boxes offered last school year, you can still help out by sending things to school from the suggested supply list.  You can see the list for ALL grades by clicking HERE.

Also I'd like to remind you that school lists will be posted on Friday after 4:00.  I will be posting my entire class list here (so you can see what friends you'll be learning with) at that time (first name last initial only).

I am also updating the "Upcoming Events" on the side of the blog so be sure to check it out and update your calendars!

And finally, please remember that you MUST register your children on Skyward for school.  You can begin that process by clicking HERE.  It does not take too long (I registerred my four a couple weeks ago).  If you have any questions, let me know.  I'm back in Room 119 and will answer emails within 24 hours M-F.
