Well, teachers aren't supposed to be sick, but the minor sore throat Mrs. Doran woke up with on Thursday took a sharp turn for the worse and by noon she was finding it painful to swallow. The doctor took one look at Mrs. Doran's throat and did not even need to do a culture. Mrs. Doran has a 'severe' case of Strep throat. Though her fever has broken and it is still painful to swallow and talk, she is resting and taking medicine. The doctor says that she should feel better before the weekend is out.
She will be updating the blog as soon as she feels a bit better (hopefully this weekend) and apologizes that our graded work is not in our Everyday Folders today (It is in her bag still from when she worked on it at home). She will also be posting conference information on the blog since she is not at school to send home paper reminders.
She wants to thank all her amazing first graders (and some parents who were in touch) for the well wishes. She knows her students are doing their best today and think that the Guest teacher today is very lucky to be able to spend time with such amazing people. She will see you on Monday!
