Greetings from Room 119. This week we lifted up a sweet second grader! You can check out the project we made for Super Riley by clicking HERE. We are so lucky to be able to "meet" such amazing, resilient people each week!
We continue to enjoy our independent reading time. We've enjoyed sharing our thinking and problem solving strategies with others! We are doing a great job!
In Social Studies we continued to learn about communities from urban, rural and suburban areas. This week we looked at posters that we made and decided if they showed communities from rural, urban or suburban areas and explained our reasoning. Ask us what we know about these different areas.
In math this week we learned about fact families and how numbers can work together. You may notice extra friends in these pictures. We were short guest teachers on Friday so Mrs. Locey's class came to learn with us. We all did a great job together!
We are in election season! On Friday we learned a little about government and voted on who we would like to see run OUR student government. We listened to speeches and became informed voters. Next week we will hear from and vote on Student Representatives from Room 119!
We ended the week with a Mystery Reader! Our friend, Leah, was so excited when she learned it was HER dad who came to read to us! We loved the stories and were a great audience!
Just a reminder, that Tuesday we do not have school! Don't forget to exercise your right to vote!
Have a great week!
