Greetings from Room 119 where the wonky weather had us in school only two days! Some were really bummed about that, others were happy. Though we didn't get to our Thoughtful Thursday project this week we sure packed in a lot of other things!
We love our books in Room 119 but now that we're reading 30 minutes a day we're varying our genre. Each day Mrs. Doran has also been slipping some cool nonfiction into our book boxes. We love reading to her.
With the crazy schedule we were able to get some serious time in our series books. Many of us are already on our second book and Mrs. D has made us extra blank books since many of us choose to write more during free choice!
This week in math we had a review- and then the next day that we were at school we had our math assessment! Mrs. Doran will be getting these into Skyward and sending the checklists home next week!
We also continue to work on iReady. Some of us are done but others are still working. We are encouraged to do our best and take our time. I think some of us like the extra screen time to go on our google classroom. Did you know you can do this at home too?
We ended the week with a special Mystery Reader! Hassan's mom came in and read two awesome books to us! She did a great job and we were a wonderful audience!
Just a reminder that Mrs. D. will be out on Monday. She'll be attending a field trip with her son. Don't forget OUR field trip money and permission slip is due on Monday (or Tuesday since that's when she'll be back). Chaperones will be drawn on Tuesday.
Have a great week!
