Week 2 in Review

Greetings from Room 119! We had a great week as we continue to learn routines and get to know each other. This week's Thoughtful Thursday Project went out to Jackie.  Thank you to all who came to Curriculum Night. You can see the notes from the night by clicking HERE. Mrs. D. would like you to take a quick survey HERE to give her some feedback on the night. Thanks to all who took Doran Dollars and cut them out! We're happy to announce we had our first payday and auction on Friday.

 In reading we continue to work on our reading stamina. We talked about how to set ourselves up for success by choosing the right books and the right place to read. Some of us have started to share connections we found in our books and have found words we're learning in language workshop in books we reading.

Similary, many of us have been put those words in our writing. We continue to work on writing about small moments. We focus on just one topic and write a lot of detail about it including feelings. We're making great gains already in our writing. Ask us what our individual writing target is.

 In math we did some work with number grids, number lines and tallies. We also did a little work on Ed Connect. Check out the back of our purple folders for the website and our passwords. You can see what we're doing each day and there are additional games that we can play to support what we're doing in class.
