Week 35 in Review

Greetings from Room 119! This week's Thoughtful Thursday project went out to Jennifer. You can see her project by clicking HERE. It was a busy week and Mrs. D. didn't take as many pictures as she usually does. We are in the season of assessments and "busy."

Reading assessments take a long time because she reads with us one on one. We should have a sub on Wednesday so Mrs. D. can focus on reading assessments with us. Don't forget to keep reading at home!
In math we did some measuring to the half inch and then worked on subtracting with base ten blocks. We did really well with it and will look into more strategies with subtraction next week!
In Social Studies we continue to learn about history~ specifically the history of Walled Lake. We also made a time line using pictures from Walled Lake dating back to the 1800s!
Speaking of history, we also were able to learn about some famous people from history at our 5th grade Wax Museum. Below are Mrs. D's former students. They gave us some good ideas since we'll start writing biographies next week!

We were so excited to end our week with a Mystery Reader! We love when people we love come in and read to our class! Noah's Dad read us some Dr. Seuss and did a great job!

Have a great week!
