Week 26 in Review

Greetings from Room 119! We had a great week celebrating Reading Month! Remember, if you need to see the Reading Month Calendar, Mrs. Doran has posted it on our blog. We have gotten some nice feedback already from this week's Thoughtful Thursday project! You can see the project we made for Jake by clicking HERE.

Liam turned the great eight this week and we had fun singing to him! Sto Lat!

The cross-pollinating we did with our Brassica plants resulted in some awesome pods! Soon it will be time to harvest the seeds and continue the cycle again! We were able to bring our plants home this week.

With the Brassicas going home we were able to plant more! This time we planted different types of grass seeds! We hope that we'll see them growing when we return to school next week!

We love getting time in our books! We finished the Mouse and the Motorcycle book and loved it! There are two other books in this series called Runaway Ralph and Ralph S. Mouse if you'd like to read them to us!

We get to log in to the chromebooks once each week. We do an iReady Lesson, but it would also help us to do one at home as well. Mrs. Doran has other fun things in our google classroom. We were able to show Ms. Ulin's class how to log in and use google classroom!

In math we worked more on different addition and subtraction strategies as well as reviewing other things from our unit. We will continue to review next week and have our assessment. Pages from the unit came home on Friday for extra practice.

This week we learned about Producers and Consumers. We watched a video about it and had some great conversation and teamwork sharing what we learned.

Every Friday is FLASHLIGHT FRIDAY! Feel free to send in a flashlight so we can read. Mrs. Doran let us have FRIEND Flashlight Friday since we didn't all have flashlights. We loved sharing books with our buddies.

One of the fun activities for reading month was decorating our door in a "Super Hero" theme. We think our door turned out INCREDIBLE! Mrs. D. laminated our Incredible-selves so they'll be able to fly home (eventually). Have a great week!
