Week 4 in Review

Greetings from Room 119!  It was our first FULL week and we did great!  If you're wondering about our behavior, September calendars came home.  Be sure to ask us about it.  We also had a special Thoughtful Thursday Project that we made for Katelyn's Uncle Larry that you can see by clicking HERE.

It was also APPLE DAY this week!  We had a day full of learning and APPLES!  Clikc HERE to see what we did!
We have been working so hard on our reading stamina!  Mrs. Doran is going to start reading groups next week.  Make sure you're practicing our paper books at home and remember to keep them at home for future practice for us.
Speaking of reading, Ms. Qonja came in and read us a book called "I Wanna Iquanna" which we loved.  It was great having our principal come to read to us!
We also continue to build on our writing stamina.  We are getting better at writing down sounds that we hear in words and adding more detail to what we are reaidng.  Right now we are all working on Stamina.
In math we did a lot of work with tallies.  We played a lot of games to reinforce tallies too!  Not only can we write tallies but we're also good at reading tallies!

We also learned about different tools we could use to solve math story problems.  There are many strategies we can use, but the most important thing is that we get the correct answer.  Look at all the ways we can solve problems...

We ended our week the way we LOVE to with a special Mystery Reader and we had so much fun!  Bianca's mom came in to read us a book and she did a great job!  Would you like to be a Mystery Reader?  Click HERE to see available dates and email Mrs. Doran and let her know which day you can to come in.

As always this is just a small snapshot of what we did this week.  To see more you can click HERE.
